Itinerary

Day 1 – LIMA

Arrival to Lima. Reception and transfer to the hotel. Night at Lima.

Day 2 – LIMA – AREQUIPA

Transfer to the airport, flight Lima/Arequipa. Reception, transfer to the hotel. Visit of the city: the Plaza de Armas, the cathedral, the Santa Catalina Convent, a small city in the city. Night at the hotel.

Day 3 – AREQUIPA – COLCA CANYON (+ – 05 hours road trip, stops on route)

Excursion to the Colca Canyon, the deepest of the world, twice more than the one of Colorado in U.S.A. Crossing of several colorful towns. Night in Chivay. Possibility of a bath in La Calera thermal waters.

Day 4 – COLCA CANYON – AREQUIPA

Departure towards Arequipa, we stop at Cruz del Condor where the Canyon is the deepest. We also appreciate the flight of the condors. Arrival, night at the hotel.

Day 5 – AREQUIPA – PUNO (+ – 05 hours road trip)

Transfert to the bus station, at 08h30 departure to Puno. Arrival, transfert to the hotel. Free afternoon. Night at the hotel.

Day 6 – PUNO – UROS – AMANTANI

Early morning departure from Puno. Visit of the Uros’ floating island, whose way of life and traditions have always attracted curiosity. Then excursion to Amantani, visit of Pacha Mama and Pacha Tata ceremonial centers. Accommodation in the inhabitants’ house.

Day 7 – AMANTANI – TAQUILE – PUNO

Departure to Taquile island, with its own characteristics, traditions and way of life of its inhabitants. Return to Puno. Night at the hotel.

Day 8 – PUNO – CUZCO (+ – 08 hours road trip)

Transfer to the station to approach the tourist bus toward Cuzco (exit at 08h00). In the way, visit of the Pucará culture vestiges, La Raya farm to watch vicuñas and llamas. The road borders the Vilcanota mountain range; observation of La Raya and Kunurana snowed summits. In Racchi, visit of the Wiracocha Temple, a great inca god. Visit of the fabulous Andahuaylillas church, well-known as the “Capilla Sixtina” of America. Arrival and transfer to the hotel. Night in Cuzco.

Day 9 – CUZCO

Free morning. City tour at the afternoon: the catedral, the principal streets, the Koricancha (The Sun Temple). Visit of the Sacsayhuaman archeological complex, and the nearby places Pucapucara, Kenko and Tambomachay. Night in the hotel.

Day 10 – CUZCO – SACRED VALLEY – OLLANTAYTAMBO

Excursion to the Sacred Valley of the Incas. Visit of Pisac, with its vestiges and colorful market, the commerce by exchange lasts for centuries. The ride continues the course of the Urubamba until Ollantaytambo. Night at the hotel.

Day 11 – OLLANTAYTAMBO – MACHU PICCHU – CUZCO

Transport to the train station, exit toward Machupicchu. Arrival to Aguas Calientes, ascent in minibus until 2300 altitude meters. The long time forgotten inca site is intact in the summit of a mountain, in an absolutely huge place. Visit of the city. At the afternoon return to Cuzco. Night in the hotel.

Free day. Night at the hotel.

Transfer to the airport, flight Cuzco/Lima. Reception, transfer to the hotel.
