Caral, America’s oldest city, dating from 5000 BC, is located 184 km north of the capital Lima, in the province of Barranca.

An archaeological complex  of 65-hectare in a desert area surrounded by fertile agricultural valleys and very close to the Pacific Sea. Archaeologists have identified 06 pyramids, temples, residential areas, public squares, amphitheaters, a circular colosseum, tombs and streets, and estimate its population at around 3,000.

Caral is a destination in its own right, just 04 hours by car from Lima. Caral can also be integrated at the beginning of the Nor-Oriental tour.
